Sun Halo
A Rare Sun Halo with many features

On 25 June 2026, a Sun Halo appeared in Vancouver, BC that had many rare features that I had never before seen, or even heard of. The Parhelic Circle literally circled the sky 360º with the two Sundogs at 3 and 9 o'clock. Part of the 46º halo shows as a Rainbow at 4 o'clock and is known as an Infralateral Arc. At the top of the 22º halo the Upper Tangent Arc is very clear. But the real gem is the faint arc at 1 o'clock known as the Wegener Arc. iPhone photo processed with Adobe Photoshop 2026.

Looking South-Westerly direction, the Parhelic Circle was unusually very clear.
